There’s a big change coming to the Galveston cruise port – and a BIG SHIP!
A new $125 million terminal is under construction which will provide the space needed to welcome the Royal Caribbean Allure of the Seas to Galveston. The Allure of the Seas is one of Royal Caribbean’Oasis Class ships, with capacity for 5,400 passengers.
The terminal is being constructed through a public-private partnership in which Royal Caribbean is building the terminal which it will then lease from the port.Continue reading
Many people who cruise from Galveston end up staying in the area either before or after their cruise. There are plenty of things to do an see, and visiting Galveston’s The Strand historic district is at the top of many “must do” lists.
