In an October 20th message from Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy, Carnival announced that they will soon return to several ports damaged by recent hurricanes.
The message stated that the Caribbean is open for business and linked to a Florida Caribbean Cruise Association’s caribbeanisopen.com website.
Carnival will resume visits to Grand Turk in the next couple weeks. Visit to San Juan, Puerto Rico will resume on November 30th, and stops in St. Thomas and St. Maarten will resume in January of 2018.

Beginning September 23, 2018, the Carnival Vista will home port in Galveston, Texas. The Vista, Carnival’s newest and largest ship, will sail two different seven-day itineraries to the western Caribbean.
Vista cruises from Galveston will depart each Sunday and visit either Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel or Mahogany Bay, Belize, and Cozumel. Continue reading

The Carnival Breeze, which will replace the Carnival Freedom in the Galveston cruise ship line-up, is scheduled to arrive in port the evening of May 7th.
The ship’s arrival will be celebrated on Sunday, May 8th, with a special Mother’s Day “Mom’s Dash to the Splash” charity event. The event will feature a group of moms, who have been selected through and online contest, teamed up with Houston Texan football players DeAndre Hopkins and Brain Cushingin a head to head race down the ship’s 300 + foot long water slides.
