The Carnival Magic is currently in dry dock, undergoing a multi-million dollar set of renovations. The purpose of the dry dock visit is to add a selection of new restaurants and bars. New additions include three restaurants: a Guy’s Burger Joint (developed in partnership with Food Network star Guy Fieri); BlueIguana Cantina, a complimentary poolside Mexican eatery featuring freshly made burritos and tacos; and Pizzeria del Capitano, which will cook up hand tossed pizzas 24 hours a day.
The renovations also include three new bars. RedFrog Rum Bar is a poolside bar featuring rum-based frozen drinks. BlueIguana Tequila Bar ties in with the BlueIguana Cantina, with a Mexican theme and tequila-based frozen drinks. For those looking for something a little less tropical, Alchemy Bar is a vintage themed cocktail bar.
The Magic will be in dry dock February 21 – March 6, 2016. The ship will then return to Galveston, where it will continue 7-night cruises to the Western Caribbean through April 10th. Following the April 10th cruise, the Carnival Magic moves from Galveston to it’s new home in Port Canaveral, Florida.
